William Sweetlove, born in Ostend in Belgium in 1949, is a postmodern artist who questions the idea of art and culture. This maverick artist creates assemblages showing his unique sense of imagination. His work reflects his ironic reaction to the omnipresence of the petty bourgeoisie.
In 2003, William Sweetlove met a collective of artists from Northern Italy: The Cracking Art Group. They have in common a Dadaist, Surrealist, Pop Art spiritual base. This will result in a remarkable collaboration under the name of "Cracking Art loves William Sweetlove".
