French artist Juce Gace’s funny, playfully risqué take on the puppet that would be a boy is set to live up to its name and inspiration with the upcoming Woodworked A Wood Awakening art toy from Mighty Jaxx’s new Premiumworked label. Crafted in beautiful Black Walnut wood, the Woodworked edition is an all-natural synergistic expression of Gace’s take on the iconic wooden boy.

The execution here appears spot on with subtle details carrying over to the wood edition including creases in the slippers. While each piece will have a unique appearance given the variability of the natural material, the wood grain seen in the promo images conveys a tangible sense of luxury. At 10″ tall the wood edition is a 1:1 match for the vinyl editions allowing it to seamlessly slide next to the previous versions.
